Ky Lloyd, born in New Zealand, has been involved as a technician and stage manager in various theater and performance productions for over 20 years.
After deepening her professional experience in 2002-03 as a stage technician in amusement parks like Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Legoland Deutschland, Ky broke through to the musical scene in Berlin working as a stage manager for the Stage Entertainment productions of Les Miserablés and Die Drei Musketiere. She went on tour with the Disney musical production of Aida, then returned to Berlin in 2006 to assist in the load-in of the relaunched show The Blue Man Group in the Bluemax Theater at Potsdamer Platz. As a calling stage manager she worked together with the cast and crew of the Blue Man Group for 5 intense years.
Starting her freelancer career in June 2012, Ky worked as a director’s assistant with the Werktreu5 production of „Drei alte Schachteln“ in Rüdersdorf, has taught show calling classes and worked as a show caller for various events such as the Miele Fashion Show at the IFA 2012 in Berlin with the creative company battleROYAL.
In 2013 Ky has worked as a Stage Manager/Director’s Assistant with Yüksel Yolcu for the Production „Aussetzer“ in Grips Theater, premiering in June. She assisted Werktreu5 with their children’s Pelle Musical Camp in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin and also called the 2013 Miele Diamond Awards Show at the IFA 2013 in Berlin. In addition Ky was the production manager/production stage manager for the contemporary dance project „every one everyone“ premiering in Tanzfabrik in November.
In 2014 she worked for battleROYAL as technical coordinator which successfully created 4 new shows for the MS Europa 2, that went on board in March 2014 in Singapore. After a 3 month run ending June 2014, these 4 shows were reinstalled onboard in September 2014. In addition Ky assisted Jack Morton/Merck-Serono as event coordinator for a 2 1/2 day seminar in Estrel Convention Center in Berlin.
2015 is bringing even more exciting events, such as assisting dreinull/battleROYAL with Miele’s cooking show for the Living Kitchen in Köln in January, bringing the shows CUBE and I (heart) Life back onboard the MS Europa 2 in April and October.
